MICHELLE SHOCKED

Currently on tour in Europe and North America, Michelle Shocked released her newest album, ToHeavenURide in September of 2007. This album was recorded live at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and has a decidedly soulful sound.

Shocked is a US singer and songwriter whose music and performances are influenced by her Texas roots, her political activism, and a self-assured style that has drawn comparisons between her and Joni Mitchell. Shocked established her own music label, Mighty Sound, in 2002 and has since continued to remain an independent artist with full creative control over her music.
