SHARON ISBIN

According to Boston Magazine, Sharon Isbin is "the pre-eminent guitarist of our time". Sharon started her classical guitar training at the age of nine and has performed as a soloist with over 160 orchestras to date.

Sharon received her Bachelor's degree at Yale University and a Master of Music from Yale School of Music. She is the guitar department founder and director for The Julliard School as well as the guitar department director for the Aspen Music Festival. Sharon is the author of the Classical Guitar Answer Book and in 1989 she created the Masters of Music degree, graduate diploma and artist diploma for Julliard's guitar department.
